FAQ

  • Q What is the difference between a standard MIG torch and a heavy-duty MIG torch?

    A

The main differences are current rating, duty cycle, cooling capacity, cable construction and intended application. A standard MIG torch is generally designed for light- to medium-duty welding, while a heavy-duty torch is designed for higher current and longer operating cycles. The correct choice should be based on the required amperage, duty cycle, wire size and welding application rather than torch size alone.

  • Q How does INWELT lower total cost of ownership (TCO)?

    A

Durability creates value: a longer product lifespan means a lower Total Cost of Ownership. From MIG/TIG to plasma, every INWELT product is engineered for long-term value — not just initial price.

  • Q How do I choose the right TIG welding torch?

    A

Choose a TIG welding torch according to welding current, duty cycle, cooling method, tungsten electrode size and welding environment. Air-cooled TIG torches are suitable for many low- to medium-current applications, while water-cooled torches are generally preferred for higher-current and extended welding. Torch head configuration, cable length, connector type and compatibility with the welding machine should also be considered.

  • Q When should I replace a plasma nozzle?

    A

A plasma nozzle should be inspected when cut quality begins to deteriorate. Replace it if the orifice is no longer round, shows significant damage or has visible gouging or wear. Continuing to use severely worn consumables can reduce cut quality and may damage the torch.
